Mountain First Aid / Self-Rescue + Peaks Course 5 - (16 - 19 November)

Mountain First Aid, Self-Rescue & Learn to Climb/Lead Course (16-19 November)

Join Climb 2 Recovery in the Peak District for four days focused on developing practical mountain skills, building confidence outdoors, and spending time with a supportive community of fellow veterans.

This course combines Mountain First Aid, Self-Rescue and Rope Skills, Learn to Climb, and Learn to Lead pathways, providing opportunities for both newer and more experienced members to develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment.

Whether you're taking your first steps into climbing, progressing towards independent climbing, or looking to build the knowledge and confidence required to manage incidents in the outdoors, this course offers expert instruction, hands-on learning, and plenty of opportunities to put new skills into practice.

Shared accommodation and catering will be provided throughout the course, although we recommend bringing your own snacks and personal items. All technical climbing and safety equipment is provided. Participants should bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear appropriate for mountain environments and winter weather conditions.

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the event.

Climb 2 Recovery is committed to making our events as accessible and supportive as possible. If you have any medical conditions, take regular medication, have accessibility requirements, or would benefit from additional support, please let the team know in advance so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

There is no expectation to participate in every activity or push beyond your comfort zone. Members are encouraged to engage at a pace that works for them, whether that's focusing on technical learning, enjoying time outdoors, building friendships, or simply taking a step away from the pressures of everyday life.

Alongside the practical training, the course provides an opportunity to reconnect with nature, challenge yourself in a supportive environment, and spend time with a community that understands the unique experiences of military service and transition.

Please note that all Climb 2 Recovery events operate a strict no alcohol and no recreational drugs policy.
